Week 3B

  1. They are effective because they have tabs to navigate through the website. They have a search box so you can find what you are looking for easily. Amazon is well known for purchasing things from. You can become a member and get two-day shipping.
  2. There colors and design is good with having tabs and categories for things. They have lots of links at the bottom of the page as well. You can also easily find what you need using the search box and categories.
  3. I go back to Amazon because they are easy and reliable. If you order a lot of items from amazon becoming a Prime Member gets you two-day shipping
  4. The only thing that I would want them to improve on is that it is a little unorganized with advertisements and items they are trying to sell.

  1. They are effective because they also have tabs on your profile. There is a friends tab and pictures and videos tab. It is a way to post pictures and videos for your friends and family to see without sending each individual a picture or video. 
  2. They use nice colors and the design is pretty simple too. Not to simple that it is boring but not to complicated that it is frustrating to use.
  3. I always go back to facebook because it has one page where all your friends and families recent posts are. You can scroll down and see who has posted what recently. I like this because you don't have to go to each individual persons page to see what they have posted.
  4. The only thing that I would improve on the main page is that the posts of friends were in order. I find the most commented on or liked posts are the ones at the top. I wish that they were in order.

Week 3A

Problems with this website:
  1. The pictures on the front page do not show up. They are empty boxes with a little paper that is ripped in half in the corner. 
  2. This website looks messy. There is some writing on the main page that is scrolling but cuts off so you have to sit and wait to see what it says.
  3. At least three of the links does not even work. When you click on them, they go to another page but it just says Not Found. 
This Website could improve if they fixed their images. They also need to fix their links so they work properly too. Last they need to fix the title on the top of the main page so it isn't scrolling and cutting off the words.

Problems with this website:
  1. The pages are very dark with bright writing. It hurts my eyes to read after while.
  2. This website also looks messy. It is on dark pages with bright writing but also the font size varies quite a bit. It Just is not very organized.
  3. The images on some of the pages do not work properly. They are just blank boxes
This website could improve if they changed their font colors and background colors to not so dark. Also they need to organize a little more so it is not so messy. Last they need to fix some of their images so they show up and aren't blank boxes.

This website looks very well made and very professional. You can easily tell what their website is for when you click on it. The heading, along with their logo, stays at the top when you click on different tabs. Their colors are good and blend well together. They are very organized and everything seems to be in the right tab.

This website also looks very well made and professional. You can easily see what this website is promoting. The heading and their logo stays at the top when you click on the different tabs. They are very well organized and have lots of pictures too.

Week 2A

Have you ever experienced difficulty communicating with a business? 
I had a problem communicating with a business before. I am not exactly sure what business it was but it was linked to amazon. I ordered snowboard pants from a company through amazon but when I hit complete checkout; I honestly have no idea how this happened; it charged the wrong credit card, did two-day shipping, and went to the wrong address. It took me forever the find an email or phone number for the company and when I was finally able to contact the company they didn't really care what happened. They said return them when you get them if you do not want them. I drove to address that it went to a couple days later and got them. They were the wrong size so I had to return them. It took a while to get my refund and I still ended up paying for two-day shipping and return shipping.

Does social media make it easier to get noticed or get your problem solved?  
To be honest, I am not sure if social media gets your problems noticed or solved. I would say, in most cases yes. Most companies or businesses will have a contact email address or phone number.

Have you ever had a positive experience communicating with a business through social media?  

I have never had a positive experience communicating with a business through social media because I have never contacted a company or business unless I had a problem. And the one time I did, It turned out to be more of a waste of time then helpful. 

If it was your own business on social media, how would you respond to positive or negative comments?

If I had a business I would respond to negative comments very respectfully. I would ask what they didn't like and what I can do to fix it or how I could fix it to change their opinion.

Week 1B

Social media sites that are geared towards personal use would include Snapchat, Instagram, twitter, and Facebook. Snapchat is an app that allows you to take a picture and send it to your friends but they can only see it for how ever long you set but there is a maximum of 10 seconds and then it disappears forever. You can also send a video that has a maximum of 10 seconds. Snachat has gotten more features and has improved its technology but this is the general idea of what it is used for. Instagram is an app that allows you to post pictures and videos and you can follow people. Facebook is like Instagram but you can also just post words of what you want to say. 

Social media sites that are geared towards business could include Facebook and Instagram because you can promote your business on these sites. Even though Facebook and Instagram were designed for personal use, you can kind promote your business or someone else's business on your personal account.

Week 1

Hello All!

I am going to write why I chose this blog template for my first blog assignment.

I didn't want to use my real name for my blogs because that would be too boring. My friend came up with Pink Pebbles so I went with it. The only reason why I chose the template that I did was because it was Pink. I thought it was funny because my name on here is Pink Pebbles.

I also chose this template because I like the color Pink. Pink describes me. My friends call me a pebble because I am small so I just went with Pink Pebbles.

I have never created a blog before so if anyone has any tips on how I can improve, please let me know.
